Session 1 – Getting compliant with Privacy Regulation

Speaker: Roel Griffioen (Epicenter)

Oracle has enriched the PeopleSoft suite with GDPR functionality: the Data Privacy Framework. In combination with the Page and Field configuration component this can be a powerful tool to let your student system be compliant to privacy regulation requirements. Since Campus Solutions PUM image 017 (which has come available a few weeks now) data masking has been incorporated into the framework as an added safety measure to prevent data leakage. Join this session to see how it works, and how it can help you in being compliant in an easy way without having to implement and maintain any customization’s.

Session 2 – Chatting with Holly: the road to the first chatbots of Inholland

Speaker: Jack Bommer (inholland)

Starting in 2019, Inholland University of Applied Sciences investigated the possible use case of chatbots. Since May this year we launched the first two chatbots on our website. Why wait for Oracle to deliver these highly performing and intuitive visualizations and dashboards? The framework is available in PeopleTools! Starting from scratch, learn how we can:

  • Configure application data as search indexes in Elasticsearch
  • Configure visualizations and dashboards in Kibana
  • Import the Kibana dashboards into PeopleSoft

Slot 2 - 14:45 to 15:15

Session 1 – Rapidly Reacting to COVID-19 crisis in Campus Solutions

Speaker: Ruhan Ferreira – Ruxsys

Modern functionality in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions allows institutions to quickly respond to institutional requirements through configuration.
This session demonstrates how the University of Cape Town was able to respond to these requirements, using functionality such as:
Activity Guides, Event Mapping Framework, Notification Framework, Personal Attributes, Configurable Fluid Self Service, Work Centre Pages, Service Requests and Rules Engine.

Session 2 – Enable Secure Remote Access: Leveraging User Behavior Analytics to Uncover Hidden Risk

Speaker: Greg Wendt – Appsian

With a rapid transition to remote access, organizations are struggling to maintain oversight into critical financial operations. For many, enabling remote access to PeopleSoft FSCM is a new requirement – even for those who had previously allowed remote access to HCM Self-Service. Because visibility is a cornerstone of oversight, organizations must enhance how they monitor user activity in order to develop rapid response and risk mitigation strategies.
In this session, you’ll learn how implementing user behavior logging and analytics provides the necessary insights to overcome blind spots. Additionally, you will learn how to:

  • Gain real-time visibility into user activity to detect anomalies and expedite incident response
  • Perform forensic investigations with a complete audit trail of access attempts and user activity
  • Simplify audits and analysis with drill-down capabilities into specific events, to review login information, data access, usage, and more
  • Cut your breach response and remediation time from months to minutes.

Session 3 – Modern student communication, why now?

Speaker: Mario School, Marcel Laan Oracle

In these dynamic times, how do we get a good insight into student communication and an overview of the channels where a student contacts the Educational Institution digitally (e-mail, whatsapp, Social Media, etc.). Mario School and Marcel Laan of Oracle guide the participants through this student communication issue and which solutions are possible.

Slot 3 - 15:30 to 16:00

Session 1 – The evolution of HE to cloud, can AI and Learner Analytics have the ultimate impact and save a life?

Speaker: Andrew Garner – Evosys

During this session Evosys will explore the key changes in the sector, looking at what’s changed over the last ten years, and where we want to be 5 years in the future. The key to this will be the computing power that the cloud brings, enabling data to be processed in ways never available before to University sized institutions. Evosys believe that this ability to leverage the data which exists in the university is the key to driving forward the Learner Analytics agenda, which has the potential to be incredibly powerful if done with the right partnership. We believe that this is going to become much more than using data, we believe that this will ultimately become artificial intelligence and machine learning saving real human lives.
